Meet the Bears

The Lawrence Family

PAPA BEAR a.k.a "Husband"
Husband is a Georgia Boy to the core. New York born but Atlanta raised, he loves all things Atlanta (Falcons, Braves, Hawks, and Coca-cola). His Colombian/Panamanian ancestry adds an ardor for soccer, making him the ultimate sports fan. He also happens to be a Ramblin' Wreck from Ga Tech and a helluva engineer. He is the second youngest child of ten children and the ultimate big brother. "Eat your grits with a smile" is his motto which is why he enjoys the simple things in life. Well, that is until you start talking big body cars and engine power-it's an Atlanta thing.

MAMA BEAR (Cassandra)
I'm a Georgia Girl born and raised in Atlanta. I love the south and everything that’s meant by the phrase “southern hospitality”. I have 6 blood born sisters, one brother, and three adopted sisters (amazing huh and I'm the oldest of the entire bunch). This may be why I’m a natural know-it-all, boss (I’m so the typical big sister), and want what I want when I want it type of person. That being said you can’t grow up with all those folks and not gain a sense of humor. As you read my blog you will fast learn that I am very silly and very honest. My motto in life is “things are always simpler than we make them”, ironic coming from a control freak. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I do believe we experience things in life to share with others. So, I look forward to sharing my life lessons and journey with you.

BABY BEAR a.k.a "The Cub"

The Cub came on the scene October 24, 2011 and completely changed the game. He is ever growing and causing us to grow as well. We're not quite sure what type of person we have on our hands, but we definitely know that getting to know this little person will be an adventure.

Update July 2015: The Cub has way too much of his mommy in him. Dramatic, bossy, demanding, know-it-all, stubborn, loyal, giving, too smart for his own good, silly, creative, and did I say know-it-all. It's funny raising a mini-me. It's also challenging. Can't wait to see how this little guy navigates life.

BABY ALI
Baby Alisa, lovingly known as Baby Ali or Baby Girl, completed our family on January 28, 2014. So far she is quite the princess. We are enjoying getting to know this precious little person and one thing is certain....she will rule us all.

Update July 2015: She absolutely rules us all, event the dog. This one takes after her father. A little subdued, she only engages when she wants and with whom she wants. She gives kisses and hugs, when she wants, and smiles and laughs, again, when she wants. You definitely need some tough skin to handle this little princess.

PANCHO
Pancho is our Chow/Shephard mix dog. We got him as a puppy from the Atlanta Humane Society in 2008. He is our first baby and we don't want to hear any arguments other wise. Pancho loves Kong Wubba's, anything that squeaks, peanut butter, the Husband's feet, and the couch. We're not sure if he is dog or if he understands he is a dog.
